Bakkanali
Bakkanali is borne out of two friends united by a dream to celebrate the ecstasy of life, wine and food and make wine their way. Sebastian Nasello, of Podere Le Ripi, and Ugo Fabbri purchased a few hectares of vineyard in 2019 and set out to create an entirely different style of wine from Montalcino, inspired by the ferrous soils of the wild slopes of Monte Amiata on which it lies, at 600 metres above sea level. The Bakkanali Rosso and Bakkanali Rosa are both made with 100% Sangiovese. Grapes come from organically farmed land with low intervention winemaking using wild yeasts and no oak treatment to let the purity of the Sangiovese grape shine through. Bakkanali Kab is a wonderful expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from just one hectare of vines, made with semi-carbonic wholebunch fermentation.
