Domaine Benoit Chevalier
Benoît is a third-generation winemaker in Vosne who took full control of his 4 hectare domaine in 2018. His father was the long-time Mayor of Vosne whilst also making wine, but when he retired, his vines were leased to a local producer who converted them to Organics. Over the next decade Benoît dabbled in micro vinifications from less than a hectare whilst working full time in IT, until deciding to pursue winemaking full time and taking back control of his family vines in time for the 2019 harvest. He has plots in two Nuits premier crus, some village land in Vosne and a plot in the stellar Beaux Monts Vosne premier cru. Yields are low and all of the wines are made in tiny quantities, but this is an exciting new name in the village.
