Domaine Mucyn
In 2001, Hélène and Jean-Pierre Mucyn uprooted their life in Champagne to set up a winery on the banks of the Rhône River. With no experience in making wine, this was quite the change but, after completing studies in viticulture and oenology following the move, they acquired a few plots of vineyards and so the domaine was born. Settling into a former boat lodge built in 1750 just north of Tain l’Hermitage, where they vinify and mature the wines, the couple have gradually acquired a mosaic of vineyards comprising 14 hectares across Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Cornas, along with some vines in Collines Rhodanienness. Certified organic, the wines of Domaine Mucyn are wonderful expressions of the terroir of northern Rhone.
