Agostina Pieri

Founded in 1991 by Francesco Monaci, Agostina Piere is a family-run property located in Piancornello di Sant’Angelo Scalo in the far south of the Brunello DOCG area, overlooking Maremma. Brothers Francesco and Jacopo take care of the production and viticulture respectively, with Mother Agostina always around for support. The property encompasses 22 hectares, of which 11 are planted to vine and eight comprising picturesque olive groves. Despite the first release here being as recent as 1999 with their 1994 Brunello, Agostina Pieri has fast gained a reputation as one of the best producers in the region, picking up the coveted tre bicchieri in the Gambero Rosso on several occasions.
