Champagne Laytons
Maison Burtin is a historic Champagne house in Épernay, now a part of the Lanson group, run independently but benefiting from their expertise and investment. Our own label Champagne, Laytons, is exclusively blended for us and undergoes a minimum of 18 months ageing before release. In 1934, Thomas Layton set up shop in Duke Street, Mayfair, importing fine wines for London Restaurants. Nearly 65 years later, in 1999, the business was bought by Jeroboams, so with the greatest of nods to Thomas and his legacy, our champagne continues to carry the Laytons name. In 2024, the label was given a redesign, telling the story of Laytons and the role it played in our history.
