Domaine Alain Burguet

Located in Gevrey-Chambertin, Alain Burguet founded the domaine in 1974 as a way of helping older vineyard owners maintain their vines. Over time, he acquired small plots throughout the appellation, converting to sustainable viticulture, favouring biodynamic and organic approaches depending on the vintage conditions. This pioneering approach, very much antithetical to the chemical-heavy orthodoxy of the time, is continued by Alain’s sons, Jean-Luc and Éric. With a focus on old vines, low yields and minimal intervention, Domaine Alain Burguet’s wines are pure and joyous, embodying the essence of the area’s terroir.
