Domaine Bachey-Legros
Dating back several generations to the 19th century, Domaine Bachey-Legros is now under the stewardship of Lénaïc and Samuel Legros who produce wines from 18 hectares of vineyards across Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Maranges. Mainly populated with old vines–some were planted between 1935 and 1955—they describe their job as tending the impressive legacy their forebearers have bestowed upon them, utilising gentle and sympathetic viticultural and winemaking practices to express the inherent qualities of old vine fruit. Particular attention is given to lees ageing and old oak, giving wines of great depth, texture and character.
