Domaine du Tunnel

Created by Stephane Robert in 1994 when he acquired his first 2.5 hectares of vines, the domaine du Tunnel (named for the old railway tunnel in St Peray that he uses as a wineray and ageing cellar) now encompases 12 hectares of hillside vineyards on granite soils in Cornas, St. Joseph, St. Peray and Condrieu. Al vineyard work is carried out by hand and the wines are generally aged in 1-3 year old barrels. One of the star domains of Cornas, in 2018 the domaine achieved HVE3 certification, the French state’s highest environmental award.
